Changes to superannuation
You may have also heard that the Federal Government announced that as part of the 2021–22 federal Budget, it will remove the $450 per month threshold to expand coverage of super guarantee to eligible employees regardless of their monthly pay.

This is a welcome measure for many employees in casual, irregular and insecure employment. However, this measure is not in law yet and is expected to take effect from 1 July 2022. You can contact the Australian Taxation Office for more information and advice on superannuation. We will keep you updated on any developments.
